NARAYANGADH: Nepali Congress acting president Sushil Koirala said on Saturday that there is no chance of forming a government under the UCPN-Maoist leadership.
Speaking at a press meet oganised by the Nepal Press Union Chitwan chapter, he said the NC is in favour of the present government's stability. He said that the present government will take the peace process to its logical end and promulgate the new statute.
Referring to the meeting between NC president Girija Prasad Koirala and Maoist chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Koirala said that it was not aimed at changing the current government. He said that the NC is against the sankalpa prastav for the President and the interim constitution should not be changed.
The acting president urged the CA chairman to seek an alternative way for the budget of the fiscal year 2009/ 2010. He said that it has to pass with a majority.
