DHULIKHEL: Finance Minister Barsha Man Pun today said the government is all set to present this fiscal’s budget through an ordinance.
“Ordinance is the only way as Parliament is no longer in existence,” said the finance minister inaugurating a taxpayer’s service centre in Dulikhel.
“I have already discussed the issue with the President,” said Pun. “How long are we to put off the agenda of economic growth in the name of transition?” he asked. Referring to the suggestions from senior economists to table a ‘provisional’ budget, he called on experts to remain neutral and keep the present situation of the country in mind while making their views public. “The economy shouldn’t suffer.”
